NEWS: Standard Imaging’s Exradin A26 Ion Chamber Receives Governor’s New Product Award

(Middleton, WI) , June 1, 2016 – Standard Imaging, Inc., a global leader in radiation quality assurance for cancer treatment, announced that their Exradin A26 Ion Chamber has received a 1st place Governor’s New Product Award, in the medium company category.   The company was also a recipient of a certificate of merit for outstanding development.

“The A26 is the first of its kind, and introduces new possibilities for small-field measurements,” said President & CEO Ed Neumueller. “We’re thrilled that it’s been recognized with this award.”

The Exradin A26 Ion Chamber is the only micro chamber that was designed to meet reference class criteria.  It features rapid settling, stable measurements, and realistic, meaningful ion recombination corrections.  “It’s remarkably reliable, and delivers the same standard of excellence we’ve all come to expect from an Exradin reference-class ion chamber,” continued Neumueller.

This award is presented at the 39th Annual Wisconsin Governor’s New Product Award (GNPA) ceremony by the Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers (WSPE) and supported by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC).  Additional sponsorship is provided by the Milwaukee School of Engineering, Foth, Boyle Fredrickson, DAVY, ch2m, Graef, KL Engineering and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

With this award, Standard Imaging continues its remarkable record of WI GNPA achievement.  Last year, the Standard Imaging Exradin W1 Scintillator won the WI GNPA 1st place in the medium company category, in addition to a certificate of merit for outstanding development.  Since its founding, Standard Imaging has received 12 GNPA related awards and certificates, which is a remarkable accomplishment for a company of this size.
