Research on the Performance of Plastic Scintillator Detector in Photon Beam and Electron Beam

The Chinese Journal of Radiological Medicine and Protection published the Beijing Institute of Cancer Prevention and Treatment’s research on the performance of the Exradin W2 Scintillator detector in photon beam and electron beam.

Their findings concluded that the signal obtained was no angular dependence. This is the same as the high-energy electron beam, which verified that the Cerenkov radiation correction factor has good linearity. The Exradin W2 Scintillator achieves greater results at non-coplanar radiotherapy, detecting dose more accurately and can be applied to non-coplanar radiotherapy dosimetry.
