Standard Imaging Introduces Next-Generation QA Systems at ESTRO, Demonstrating Ongoing Dedication to Precision in Radiation Therapy

Posted: May 20th, 2025
Press Releases

Standard Imaging, a global leader in radiation therapy quality assurance (QA) solutions, unveiled its latest innovations at the 2025 ESTRO Congress, including the highly anticipated MAX Elite™ Electrometer and a comprehensive expansion of its hardware and software portfolio. These new offerings reaffirm the company’s commitment to advancing precision, performance, and adaptability in radiation oncology, empowering clinicians to deliver safer, more effective patient care.

MAX Elite™ Electrometer – The Future of QA
(Patent pending)
At the core of this launch is the MAX Elite™ Electrometer, a foundational platform designed to meet the evolving needs of modern radiation therapy. Engineered for precision and flexibility, this electrometer integrates seamlessly with emerging technologies, providing clinicians with a powerful tool for delivering better patient treatments. Key features include:

Max elite main v2
  • Streamlined Setup, Maximum Efficiency – An intuitive interface makes measurements and adjustments seamless, reducing setup time and enhancing clinical workflow.
  • Precision at Your Fingertips – The largest capacitive touch screen in its class, delivering responsive, precise control.
  • Fast Responding – Fast-settling and fast-zeroing for quick, reliable data collection.
  • Flexibility Redefined – Remote operation capabilities and customizable viewing angles for maximum control.
  • Calibration Made Smarter – Integrated camera system for automated input of detector calibration information, eliminating manual data entry.

“The MAX Elite™ is both a wonderful electrometer and a platform that will allow us to continue developing new features as needed for emerging treatment technologies. Standard Imaging is absolutely committed to providing clinical physicists with the high-precision and high-quality tools they need, so they in turn may confidently provide exceptional treatment to their patients,” said Shannon Holmes, Ph.D., Medical Physicist at Standard Imaging.

TruPose™ Head Adjuster – Precision in Every Degree
Also making its debut at ESTRO, the TruPose™ Head Adjuster introduces a 3DoF patient positioning system for intracranial SRS. This lightweight, versatile device allows for rapid, precise corrections in pitch, roll, and yaw, integrating seamlessly with widely used thermoplastic mask systems and real-time SGRT technology.

Lucy ThorX™ – Total SBRT QA
The Lucy ThorX™ Phantom offers a comprehensive, all-in-one solution for Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) QA. This pseudo-anthropomorphic phantom integrates simulation, planning, imaging, and delivery QA into a single device, simplifying complex workflows and reducing setup times.

“The Lucy ThorX™ streamlines the most challenging aspects of SBRT QA, providing a single, versatile platform for end-to-end verification. This is exactly the kind of innovation our customers need to stay ahead of the curve,” Umar Baharom, Product Manager and OEM Strategic Accounts Manager at Standard Imaging.

PIPSpro® 5.9 – Daily QA for CT Simulation
The latest version of PIPSpro® Software, now with CT Simulator specific checks, enables rapid daily QA for CT simulators in less than 5 minutes. Paired with the CT/SIM Check Phantom, this upgrade offers comprehensive data analysis of daily CT Simulator QA.

Exradin A30 – Pioneering FLASH Dosimetry Research
(Patent pending)
Rounding out the new offerings, the Exradin A30 prototype pushes the boundaries of high-dose rate dosimetry. With a 0.3 mm electrode spacing for superior charge collection efficiency and robust performance at extreme dose rates, this ion chamber is poised to set a new standard in FLASH dosimetry research.
