Standard Imaging Raises Money to Fight Cancer

Posted: May 16th, 2007

Standard Imaging, Inc. is pleased to announce that it recently raised nearly $7,000 for the American Cancer Society, as part of its 6th Annual Golf Classic fundraiser, held on May 11, 2007, at The Meadows of Six Mile Creek golf course. For the 5th consecutive year, Standard Imaging bested its prior year fundraising effort.

The 136 participants, drawn from Standard Imaging employees, other local firms and the University of Wisconsin, enjoyed great weather and friendly competition during the 18-hole scramble event. Money was raised through entrance fees, sponsorships, donations, in addition to a raffle and silent auction held following the day's play.

The money will be combined with other Standard Imaging fundraising efforts as part of the American Cancer Society's, Relay for Life campaign. Once its fundraising efforts are concluded in mid-June, Standard Imaging will then match the money raised and present it to the American Cancer Society, resulting in an anticipated total donation of more than $15,000. The organization will use the money in its ongoing fight against cancer.
