Standard Imaging Welcomes Friends and Family to its Open House

On Wednesday, October 17, 2007, Standard Imaging, Inc., held an open house to showcase its new 27,000 square foot facility located at 3120 Deming Way in Middleton, WI. Nearly 300 customers, community members, university members, friends and family attended the open house, which included facility tours, product displays and a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Standard Imaging is a manufacturer of radiation calibration and quality assurance instruments for health care. The company was founded in 1990 and has continually grown to become a leader in the medical physics field. Its current products offerings include electrometers, ion chambers, phantoms, QA software, beam QA instruments and brachytherapy calibration devices.

This is the fourth successive Middleton facility for Standard Imaging. The combination office and manufacturing facility incorporates many green features, including geothermal heating and cooling, production area sky lights, and energy efficient and natural lighting. The landscaping integrates water gardens, runoff retention ponds and plantings to support heating and cooling efficiency. Adjacent to the facility is the Pheasant Branch Nature Preserve trail network and the company is conveniently located near downtown Middleton.

The Milwaukee office of Durrant Architects and Engineers designed the facility which includes efficient expansion options for future needs. It was built by Landgraf Contraction, Inc. of Madison.
