TruPose™ Head Adjuster, a bore-linear accelerator (linac) specific head adjuster system is designed to enhance patient positioning by enabling precise six degrees of freedom (6DoF) corrections using visual feedback from surface-guided radiation therapy (SGRT) system. Consisting of a head plate connected to an indexable base plate, it fits widely-used thermoplastic mask and head support systems.
The TruPose Head Adjuster allows the radiation therapist to correct rotational errors by rotating adjustment knobs corresponding to the pitch, roll and yaw axes using Surface Guided RT (SGRT) systems.

Head and neck and intracranial stereotactic radiation therapy requires a secure and precise patient setup. Further, multiple met single isocenter stereotactic treatment techniques are sensitive to rotational errors. While patient positioning setup and corrections are typically done by 6DoF robotic couch, this is not available for every linac.
