TruPose Head Adjuster Enable precise 6DoF head positioning for Bore-Linacs

TruPose™ Head Adjuster, a bore-linear accelerator (linac) specific head adjuster system is designed to enhance patient positioning by enabling precise six degrees of freedom (6DoF) corrections using visual feedback from surface-guided radiation therapy (SGRT) system. Consisting of an indexable base plate and various head plate configurations, it fits used thermoplastic mask and head support systems.

TruPose™ Head Adjuster, a bore-linear accelerator (linac) specific head adjuster system is designed to enhance patient positioning by enabling precise six degrees of freedom (6DoF) corrections using visual feedback from surface-guided radiation therapy (SGRT) system. Consisting of an indexable base plate and various head plate configurations, the TruPose is compatible with widely-used thermoplastic mask and head support systems.

The TruPose Head Adjuster allows the radiation therapist to correct rotational errors by rotating adjustment knobs corresponding to the pitch, roll and yaw axes using Surface Guided RT (SGRT) systems.

Intracranial stereotactic radiation therapy requires a secure and precise patient setup. Further, multiple met single isocenter stereotactic treatment techniques are sensitive to rotational errors. While patient positioning setup and corrections are typically done by 6DoF robotic couch, this is not available for every linac.
